Improving the lives of women with cardiovascular disease.
When she survived a heart attack while seven months pregnant with twins, Eliz Greene knew she had been given an incredible story to tell. In the decade since then she has been on a mission to advocate on behalf of the American Heart Association and improve the lives of women living with heart disease.
Fighting the stigma of women and heart disease and working to eliminate treatment disparities, Eliz has testified before congress, advocated for improved NIH research funding, the HEART for Women Act, STOP Stroke Active, child obesity laws, tobacco control and received the Heart Hero Award for her efforts. She is a favorite speaker for Go Red for Women and Heart Truth events.
